ABC’s Series conclusion
ABC’s Series conclusion
Let’s take a few minutes to reflect on personal growth during this series.
- What comments from others during this series have been helpful or encouraging to you?
Could be struggles others have shared (budgets are hard even after 14 years of marriage), praises (I started looking at our debt and we can save a lot of money but dealing with this), prayers (God we need your help to see how to tithe) or just words of encouragement (I am so excited you are taking steps to deal with that).
- Which weekly teaching or topic (from the list below) or resources have been most impactful on your life and finances?
- Interest
- Debt
- Budget
- Selfishness
- Tithing
- Biblical Teaching on Finance.
Again people can chose one of the topics listed, one of the AB or C’s or even the budget or amortization charts. Try to get everyone to share one thing that was helpful to them. This helps everyone feel like they can work together to make changes.
- Has there been one specific Bible passage that has stood out to you? If show share that with the group.
They may not be able to say a specific passage, so you need to be ready to share. Even if it is something like, “that passage about not being a lender really helped me with this situation.”
Break into groups of 2 or 3.
- Many of us have been “sitting on the fence” too long. We know deep down inside that if we were to take God at His Word and begin to obey Him completely, our lives would change for the better. We have been putting off that decision to completely follow Him in every way far too long.
Share one area that you are planning on following God’s desire for you life.
Some will not feel comfortable to share. Try to match them in a small group and encourage them to be as transparent as possible and stretch themselves.
- Read Matthew 6:33 and tell how you will begin seeking God first (may be more specifics from the above question or may be totally different).
Again some may say it is the same answer as the previous question but asks them to talk about how they believe God will get involved in the process.
Pray for each other asking God to lead in the strength and power to follow His plan for your life and finances.
